Manchester City vs Liverpool

Categories: Sports | No Comments

You can really feel the intensity here in Manchester when the home team Manchester City takes against Liverpool and both teams are aiming to have the fourth place in premier league.

Great game tempo the first 5 minutes in a game where both coaches has put their best players on the field.

Both teams have had some dangerous chances but now after 13  minutes City have had some more, Darius Vassel looks sharper than ever at the top and looks really hungry to score.

After 30 minues have both teams keeps up the high tempo up and down play style with Man C with most of the chances, but with feeling that Liverpools have been a little bit more dangerous sometimes.

Now after 40 minutes City has been really working for getting the lead in this game, running like maniacs for most of the balls. if just City got a little bit closer to goal I think Liverpool would be really shaky right now.

Halftime Standings: Manchester City vs Liverpool 0-0

Liverpool begins the second half the best with Fernando Torres getting ball between the legs of Joe Hart in the City goal but the ball passes the post. In the 50th minute the same Torres get’s fouled by M Richards in the City defense and Steven Gerrard gets a great chance to score but also this shoot misses the goal but just nearly.

After 60 minutes Liverpool has controled and pressured Manchester for the most of the second half, and City’s manager Sven Goran Eriksson looks really unsatisfied and substitutes out Stephen Ireland for the young swiss Gelson Fernandez.

Erikssons change have given some calm in to the game from Liverpools side and City is now back in the game, and now in the 67th minute he is hoping for even more luck when he’s waiting for the refeere’s call to bring Rolando Bianchi in.

In the 70th minute Manchester’s second substitute come’s in Bianchi for Elano, Elano who has been bleak the last two games since he have come back from his injury and the tempo in the game is still quite slow. None of the teams want to big any big mistakes to chance a goal in the back.

In the 75th minute we have double substitute and City’s last Harry Kewell

Darius Vassel for the brazilian Geovanni

In the 84th minute liverpools Torres gets the first yellow card of this game, and a half minute later Liverpool get’s one good chance and one great chance cleared away by City one the goal line and it’s very dramatic, and Liverpool keeps pressuring on the city goal.

Which gives City and especially Petrov counter attacks, and a free kick chance in the 87th minute which they doesn’t take.

90 minutes and the refeere declares a 3 minutes over time, which Liverpool uses the best but can still get it behind the net and the time is out.

Result: 0-0

Erik Hamrén Takes Over Rosenborg

Categories: Sports | No Comments

The latest news in the swedish coaching world is that Erik Hamrén takes over Rosenborg who chocks Europe every year by frequently qualifying in to Champions League.

They almost make it there without really belonging there, but in Trondheims Rosenborg The pressure will be huge on Hamrén to still taking them there so my question is will he be a sucess or just one of the line of swedish coaches that have been given a shot out to Europe but not succesfully?

We will know in the future, but for swedish coaches I wish him all the luck.

Stay for later on I will be writing live from the Manchester City - Liverpool game starting at 5 pm swedish time.

England has bad food, are all alcoholics, and has bad refeeres

Well accordingly to Rolando Bianchi, who surely  isn’t a happy camper in Manchester City and wants to get traded when the Transfer window opens in a couple of days.

But my penny is that he perhaps is unhappy about that he has mostly been sitting on the bench since he came to City.

It’s not untill Mpenza got injured Bianchi got playtime, sometimes I don’t know how Sven is managing the team sometimes I could count the unhappy players in City on my two hands and that’s not good.

But perhaps City doesn’t have to worry about Bianchi leaving, hard to see a team give 10 million euros for a bencher.. Some more scores and games he could be hot again.

Will Ronaldo be the top scorer after this season? He have it almos to easy on the teams from the bottom of the league table.

You can see in the top 15 scorers why Chelsea won’t win the premier leauge this season, you need an constistant scorer to be able to win it. And how much can you read in to the rumour about Mourinho going to Milan and Drogba comes with him?

And I reallly can’t see Anelka as a big sucess in Chelsea, if that rumour is true.

Manchester City VS Blackburn Rovers

December 27, 2007.

Watching Manchester City VS Blackburn on Canal+ Sport1 right now, and after the first 20 minutes of the game it’s still tied, none of the team has had any exaggerated advantage of the game and Man C just had a splendid chance to get in the net. BUT Rolando Bianchi missed a huge chance, their he only had to put his foot to the ball and in to the empty net but he misses the ball…..

In the 26th minute after another great run by Martin Petrov for Man C he chips the ball in beautifuly to a Darius Vassel that jumps the highest for the ball and gets it in with a header.

But the goal show isn’t over just a minute after Manchesters goal the Rovers retaliate’s after a free kick by Benley the ball lands on the backside of Roque Santa Cruz head who scarves it in to the net. Which was Cruz 8th goal of this season.

And believe it or not in just three minutes we have not just seen two goals, no now the count is up to THREE goals, and 2-1 to Manchester. By another great run by Martin Petrov on the left flank and passes the ball in his usual manner and the ball gets on the Rovers defender Nelsen’s leg and in to the net.

Martin Petrov Celebrates

Petrov who have shined more than ever when the absence of Elano has hurted as most in the Manchester City rooster.

The time after the Goal spree has been quite on and off with lover game intensity like the first 20 minutes off the game.

Half Time - Manchester City - Blackburn 2-1

Let’s see if Blackburn can threat Manchester City when the game is back on.

Not in the first minutes of the second half anyway their Man C has ALL off the game where their are not far away from scoring. Now has the referee given out his first yellow card of the day to Blackburn’s Bruno Benner.

Now in the 54th minute of the game the tempo has gone up higher on both sides, and now has the referee given out his second yellow card to Manchesters defender M Richards.

Now in the 59th minute Blackburn have had a couple of minutes worth of pressure on manchester but not really been able to get a clear shoot on goal.

For Manchester City on the other side of the line the beloved Elano is warming up, it would be good for city to get him back in play.

And speaking of the beloved, now just before the 64th minute Elano comes in for Manchester substituting Rolando Bianchi and will have to see what he can bring to this game after his injury.

In the 67th minute Elano has alreay performed three dangerous semi-chances for Manchester City whilst the game is still pending up and down for both teams but still in a 2-1 advantage for Man C.

Manchester Darius Vassel gets a great chance in the 71st minute coming past the goaltender but the Rovers Nelsen is in the way when he tries to get it in to the net. Blackburn replies with several shoot attempts but all off them on City players legs.

With 15 minutes left of the game Blackburn still tries to get past Manchesters wall off defense but doesn’t seem to get past it, whilst City counter attacks perfectly but without desperation.

In the 78th minute it’s time for City’s second change in the line up when the defender Javier Garrido substitutes the midfielder Stephen Ireland.

In minute 82 Blackburn Rovers get’s their (unexpected) equalizer after a corner which Santa Cruz gets inside the net by another header. A goal that first were about to get invalid for offside but get’s cleared after the referee’s chatted up with each other. But this irritate’s the City players and fans, but the City starts to put more pressure than on a long time on the Rovers defense.

But in the 87th minute Blackburn get’s a great chance to finish this game, but City is able to clear it up and start attacking again.

Just seconds before the 90th minute the Rovers makes their second substitute when the two goal scorer Roque Santa Cruz goes out for Tugay, perhaps to win sometime happy with the draw.

In the 93 minute the game is over with Blackburn producing the most dangerous chances in the last minute but no more goals.

End Time - Manchester City - Blackburn 2-2

An okey game in manchester who gave up points for the first time in Premier league in this game for this season, but still undefeated.

Manchester City - Bolton

Watching Manchester City vs Bolton Wanders.

After seven minutes it is 1-0 for Man C after a little defense mistake, Darius Vassel could get loose tries a shoot, which is saved. Vassel gets the rebound looks around for a good passing opportunity and finds the bulgarian Petrov who scarves the pass to Bianchi who gets his left leg on the ball and in the net.

Martin Petrov’s ”Sensitive Left Foot” has been real bad at the free kicks the last couple of games, really annoys me how he can make such a shitty freekicks sometimes. I really miss the injured Elano’s ”Golden Foot” he really can shoot a free kick.

Now soon 30 minutes in the game and still 1-0 to Manchester who have had most of the game, but Bolton is piling up the most dangerous chances.

And now it came just after 30 minutes Bolton and Diouf has got their equalizer it now stands 1-1 after a shoot high up in the right behind Isaksson after a beautiful row of passes.

40′ minutes, the game has been wobbling but Bolton is the team who has played with the highest self-condfidence and has just turned the game over 1-2 to Bolton by Nolan and Bolton is pressuring Man C real hard now before the intermission.

After just two minutes in the second half Dieter Hamann shoots the ball in the net after a time’s pressure in Boltons goalfield and it is now leveled 2-2.

One interesting thing is that 3 out of 4 goals today have been in the same corner, the right corner.

72′ minutes in to the game; the last 20 minutes has been slow but now the game starts to heat up again both teams produces some good chances.

76′ minutes, Man C has taken the lead back again with a beautiful, beauiful goal by Darius Vassel. Which started with the always involved Martin Petrov who rans by his defender and passes a blind ball in against the goal where Vassel back flips it in to the goal with his heal.

89 minute, after a slow last minute Manchester gets a 2 against 1 opportunity and Mpenza misses after being completly clear with Boltons goalkeeper.

In the three minutes overtime, Manchester gets a great chance in the 92th minute but Darius Vassel can’t get it in to net.

In the last minute Bolton get a small time of pressure, which Man C uses after a little while by taking the chance quickly up and javier garrido can pass to a free Calvin Etuhu who shoots in  to the net and 4-2 is a fact and the game is now over. It was also the 19 year old Etuhu’s first Premier Leauge goal.

After thoughts: It became an easy win for Manchester  City, but it wasn’t looking that easy before the second half when Bolton had 1-2 and good pressure on the Man C. But after the 2-2 goal just after the second half Bolton never came up to the same pressure..
